UDRP Info - Decisions for the average guy
There are always conspiracy theories about everything. UDRP decisions included. If there is anyone who can say that big business and money can’t swing ANYTHING in this country, please ensure that you post a comment on this story.
You see, there are a lot of people who cry that the UDRP is slanted towards big business, and some UDRP “Arbitrators” seem to be even more slanted than others towards the US Businessman. Can corporate America flex their muscle to get stuff done - absolutely.
In fact, just working for TigerDirect put a smile on the face of 2 TSA Agents recently. I never had someone actually put away my notebook in my bag after it cleared x-ray before! They went out of their way, based on their affinity for TigerDirect. Had NOTHING to do with me (except of course my charming personality).
But back to the point, I’m sure that people who know and respect the Heinz (of Heinz 57, or Heinz Tomato Ketchup) name for many years would be more likely to give the domain, with a slant on Heinz to them instead of some other guy with a hidden domain registration showing advertisements for anything that comes up.
Why not? Is it right? Sure. Is it to the letter, probably not. But there really isn’t a letter. You think there is, but there isn’t. Not at all, really. In fact, the lack of a true appeals process is crazy. I mean, c’mon!
If you’d like to read all about the UDRP decisions, arbitrators, people’s stats every which way until Tuesday, or Wednesday if you like — then you should check out UDRPInfo.com. It’s a great resource for everything and anything you need to discern from UDRP decisions.
Put together as part of a school project, this is an excellent resource for anyone doing research in preparation for a UDRP, or just considering one. Look for similar cases and see what happened, and how you can win!
